A project where the client wanted to make use of an existing sloping lawn in the garden. We designed and constructed a pair of informal ponds linked by a series of small waterfalls and a stream. The ponds are lined with a butyl rubber liner, which is masked with rockery stone and soil. A submersible pump transfers water from the lower pool to the upper one to create the flow of water down the stream.
Finally the pond was stocked with aquatic plants, and the surrounding beds planted with mixed shrubs and herbaceous plants. |
